What makes up the price?

State government fee

Each issuing office sets its own charge. Prices can differ for electronic, short-form, long-form, paper, or certified records and can change over time.

Retrieval-service fee

This covers identifying the correct record, handling the state procedure, monitoring the request, solving routine ordering issues, and delivering the completed document.

Rush processing

Priority handling moves the order to the front of the service workflow, but it does not remove state-office restrictions, manual reviews, outages, or entity-status problems.

Special-document charges

Long-form certificates, certified formation documents, paper originals, courier delivery, apostilles, authentication, multi-state orders, and reinstatement work can add cost.

Current Signature Filings options

Standard processing
$95

Usually same business day when ordered by 2:00 PM.

Rush processing
$125

Priority target within one business hour when available.

Business hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Rush is subject to availability and is not offered on Fridays.

Compare quotes carefully

Make sure each quote covers the same state fee, document type, processing speed, delivery format, and level of support. A low advertised price may exclude government fees or special handling.

Can you order directly from the state?

Often, yes. Direct ordering may cost less when you already know the correct entity, certificate type, state procedure, and timing. A private retrieval service is most useful when the order is urgent, spans multiple states or entities, or requires someone to manage the process and troubleshoot routine issues.

What if the entity is not in good standing?

The business may also need to file overdue reports, pay fees, resolve tax issues, update its registered agent, or complete reinstatement. Those costs are separate from certificate retrieval.
